Dick Stufkens Annual PhD Prize
For Dick Stufkens Prize 2012: Apply before July 15.
The Dick Stufkens Prize consists of (i) a certificate and (ii) 1,000 Euro cash. These will be awarded during the annual symposium of the HRSMC, where the prize winner will also be invited to give a lecture.
Qualifications for the Dick Stufkens Annual PhD Prize
In order to be eligible for the Dick Stufkens Prize, the candidate should (a) have the HRSMC PhD certificate 1 and (b) participated with an oral or poster presentation in at least one annual HRSMC symposium.

How to apply?
Check first if you fullfill the qualifications described above. To apply for the Dick Stufkens Prize, the candidate has to send to the HRSMC office
(a) eight copies (or five and a pdf-file) of his/her printed Ph.D. thesis
(b) a letter of support of the (co)supervisor or any other member of his/her Ph.D. committee
(c) a short essay (maximum 3 pages A4) that explains why this particular Ph.D. thesis is so unique.
(d) a picture of yourself, suitable for publication

The deadline for submission is July 15. Applications will be judged by the Research Committee of the HRSMC, if necessary assisted by the board and the External Advisory Committee. In case the Research Committee concludes that none of the submitted entries meets the standards of the Prize, it may decide not to award the Prize in that particular year.
