  Introduction
Dear colleague,
It is our pleasure to invite you to take part in the 3rd International Conference on Multi-Component Reactions and Related Chemistry, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, organized under the auspices of the Holland Research School of Molecular Chemistry.
Multi-component reactions receive increasing attention, as they are perfectly suited for combinatorial synthesis (either on solid support or in solution) of libraries of products relevant to catalysis, as agrochemicals or pharmaceuticals. The programme of the conference will consist of lectures by distinguished invited speakers, oral communications and poster presentations covering the field of muti-component reactions in a broad sense, including its applications. This conference is in continuation of two highly succesful conferences on the same topic that were held in Munich in 2000 and in Genova in 2003.
The programme again ensures a high quality meeting and we are looking forward to welcome you in July 2006 in Amsterdam!

International Scientific Committee Committee: Banfi (I), Dömling (D), Groen (NL), Hiemstra (NL), Kappe (A), Orru (NL), Zhu (F)
Local Organizing Committee: de Esch (VU), Groen (VU), Lammertsma (VU), van Maarseveen (UvA), Olsthoorn-Tieleman (HRSMC), Orru (VU), Sliedregt (Solvay Pharmaceuticals), Swaning (HRSMC)

Organized under the auspices of the Stichting HRSMC Congresorganisatie

Conference site
The conference will be held in the Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The institute is part of the Royal Tropical Museum, a monumental and historically interesting building, constructed in 1926 for research on the tropics.

Welcome to Amsterdam
From its canals to world-famous museums and historical sights, Amsterdam is one of the most romantic and beautiful cities in Europe. Amsterdam is a city of tolerance and diversity. It has all the advantages of a big city: culture, history, entertainment, good transport - but is relatively small, quiet, and largely thanks to its canals, has a little road traffic.
